The Archipelago Network sets sail to Syros island for the Documenting Heritage Festival

On Saturday, May 27, at 6 pm, “Tarsanas Shipyard,” a short documentary film produced by the Archipelago Network and directed by Jacob Moe, will be screened at the historic Apollon Theater in a program of short films presenting various aspects of Cycladic heritage.

The film delves into the history of the iconic Tarsanas Shipyard, Syros’s oldest and most renowned traditional boatyard, showcasing aspects of craftsmanship and current issues related to traditional wooden boatbuilding, a cherished art passed down through generations.

We look forward to meeting you there and discussing the importance of safeguarding traditional boatbuilding as a form of maritime heritage essential to the region’s history and future.

Entrance is free, but reservations are necessary. Secure your seat now at ticketservices.gr.
