Archipelago Network joins Creative Commons Global Network

The Archipelago Network is proud to announce its membership in the Creative Commons Global Network (CCGN) as an institutional member.

Through this partnership, the Archipelago Network renews its commitment to an ever more equitable, accessible, and innovative world. In joining forces with the CCGN, the Archipelago Network will further facilitate the trans-local exchange of knowledge and culture, actively contributing to a global community of individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting openness and sharing worldwide.

The Creative Commons Global Network is the home for a community of advocates, activists, scholars, artists, and users working to strengthen the Commons worldwide. CC is the global standard for sharing content for use and re-use. There are over 2.5 billion CC-licensed works online, including on major content platforms like Flickr, Wikipedia, Soundcloud, and YouTube. CC licenses are crucial for open data, open access publishing, open educational resources and open textbooks, and more.
